Simulation of helical CT with aRTist
In medical CT, the patient is moved linearly through the CT device. Inside the tube, the source and detector move on a circle. This video is made with the radiographic simulator aRTist, which targets industrial radiography for non destructive testing. The new module TomoSynth allows to move objects on arbitrary paths. Shown here: Helical CT, rotation of source and detector about the middle axis with simultaneous linear movement of the test piece along the axis.
Kinder surprise egg by aRTist
A Kinder Surprise is transparent to X-rays, as opposed to visible light. A computer tomography reveals the toy insight the shell.
